Fundamental to the system is the Aquafloor PE-MDXC underfloor heating pipe which is a multi-layer pipe with integral oxygen barrier layer. This unique pipe is extremely flexible and yet can withstand the rigour of construction environment. Supafloor electric heating cables are of unique ultra-robust design. The flexible ultra-tough outer insulation protects the copper element cores and continuous earth which provides maximum safety. The Supafloor range of cables are especially designed to be suitable for most types of new build floor construction. Intafloor thin-bed electric underfloor heating system consists of a robust heating wire, with integral continuous earth braid for maximum safety, stitched to a reinforced backing mesh. This facilitates ease of installation and excellent subfloor strength reinforcement. The minimal height build-up of approximately 3mm makes Intafloor an ideal solution for renovation projects, and existing floors. Intafloor is available in the two heating outputs 150w and 200w per sqm providing a comfort heating solution for most applications.

South Hampstead High School

Wates Construction recently completed the design and build of the new South Hampstead High School in London, built to accommodate 720 students aged 11 to 18 years. The result is a modem school building that blends original features with new-build extensions. It involved the initial demolition of existing squash courts to make way for the new-build school. In addition, 2,500m2 of temporary school accommodation was installed at the project outset, providing staff and students with a disruption-free environment.

Wandsworth Riverside

Galliford Try formed a prestigious residential project following the successful delivery of an earlier scheme for the same developer at Vincent Square. On the bank of the River Thames, the development provides 121 apartments over two buildings; one at nine storeys tall and the other at 12 storeys high. A further 18 affordable homes are provided within the two blocks, delivering 139 homes in total. All the apartments have been designed and built to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.
