21 Wapping Lane

The five-block mixed-use development is 20 storeys in height and has 379 apartments adjacent to East London’s historic Tobacco Dock. It features a curved fa4tade and sculptured terracing. The scheme contributes positively to its local surroundings and has acted as a catalyst for other improvements in the area including the re-launch of a local events venue and the development of the site adjacent to the scheme by a major bank.

The Tower

At 181 metres tall with 50 storeys, The Tower is a residential skyscraper. It is the tallest residential building in the UK. The building is divided into three distinct parts with a base that houses a lobby, business lounge, gym and spa; a middle section containing most of the apartments and an upper section where the façade reduces in diameter to provide 360° terraces. In August 2014, the Tower was nominated and made the Building Design short-list for that year’s Carbuncle Cup.

Mill Lane Apartments

The Mill Apartment’s architecture complements the surrounding environment, with its elevated position resulting in many of the apartments benefiting from fantastic views across London. The Mill offers luxury accommodation, complemented by natural open space – highly unique in London.

Royal Swiss Apartments

The development has been carefully considered with acoustic treatments and walls to ensure that a relaxing and peaceful environment is available to its residents, with specifications such as home entertainment systems and comfort cooling as standard. Spacious balconies are available on all floors giving residents direct access to outside space with fantastic views of the common and surrounding areas.

Student Accomodation

The purpose built, student accom-modation facility comprises of 39 cluster flats of between 5 and 8 en-suite bedrooms, each with a very large shared kitchen/lounge providing homes for 289 students. In addition, there are 58 en-suite studios including a number of DDA requirements. The studios feature there own kitchen, living and study areas. 2014 RESI awards winner for delivering exceptional service and student experience within the Student Accommodation Sector.

Care Home Retirement Apartments

Thermotec delivered a fully integrated floor build up system using our TPS – Supafloor Electric underfloor heating with insulation to the apartments and Aquafloor Cliprail to the communal areas, including the air source heat pump using programmable thermostats. The project was managed, installed and supervised by Thermotec, and was delivered on time and within budget.

Thermotec delivered a fully integrated floor build up system from the sub-floor base to the final floor screed using our TPA11 Aquafloor underfloor heating system and insulation using standard thermostats. 81 Black Prince Road

The property is situated on north side corner of Black Prince Road and Salamanca Place close to its junction with Albert Embankment. The area underwent a major regeneration to provide new luxury residential, hotels, restaurants and retail.
