Fundamental to the system is the Aquafloor PE-MDXC underfloor heating pipe, a multi-layer pipe with an integral oxygen barrier layer. Extremely flexible yet robust enough to withstand the rigours of the construction environment, the pipe offers excellent thermal transfer characteristics, delivering a superior floor heating solution. The system is designed for installation within a typical joisted floor construction, adding no extra height to the floor build-up, and provides typical heating outputs of 50–80 W/m². Operating at low floor temperatures, it integrates seamlessly with renewable energy sources such as heat pumps and solar to deliver optimum energy efficiency.
